The year 2002 continued the series of living legends

This time Rauma Blues presented Solomon Burke, noted as the best living soul singer with his grand voice and appearance, and Jody Williams, the guitar pioneer of chicago blues with his original sliding technique. The "artistic values" of Rauma Blues were noted even in national media when the Finnish television channel TV 1 broadcasted a report of the event in its main news. The experts gave more notion to the event as the Jody Williams and Solomon Burke gigs were listed as the best concerts of the year in a readers' poll in the prestigious Blues News magazine.
