Frightened by the behaviour of Kirka, the organizers decided that from now on the performers of Rauma Blues would have to be cut down to those who played only blues or blues related music

These new principles were underlined in 1996 as the legendary Canned Heat lead the painting of the event into a more bluesy tone.
